Surviving the heat waves

Back from the sweltering hot Shanghai. Caught a nasty stomach virus and still recovering from it. Ain't sure how and where I could have gotten it from since we ate at proper and not to mention expensive restaurants. Well if the gal pal can get 'Delhi diarrhea' from a 6 star hotel you can get anything from anywhere.
The shopping was not that bad and we were in fact pleasantly surprised to see that prices before discount are generally lower than Singapore.
I think age is catching up. I'm beginning to appreciate big names hotel chains rather than the small boutique-ty ones. For the same price we'd have stayed at a pretty decent place with good service.
Only thing worth mentioning is the free bar at lobby that is for our raiding 24/7. So I guess the next time I'm dropping by Shanghai it'll be on days the weather is below 10 degree celsius and staying at a nice place along the bund.
